What we believe in!
It was a great week. We meet with the muskes the family in Elgin on Saturday and they came to church again yesterday. If they keep on coming and we keep on teaching them then we will be able to baptize them in about two weeks. We have another lesson with Antonio who is the Mexican that went out of town to Mexico but got back the other night. It was really exciting because he was the one who texted us asking if we could come over tonight. I hope that he has been keeping his commitments and reading the Book of Mormon. It was pretty funny the other day this man let us inside his house and when we were about to share our message his wife came in and sat down. We started off by pulling out the Book of Mormon and the lady said she will throw that book away if we don't put it away immediately. Then she went off saying how she only believes in the bible and how we don't believe in Christ. I then just looked at my name tag and pointed out the name of Jesus Christ on our tags. She then went crazy about how we believe in David to be the son of God. But we eventually were able to get out of that house. Some people are so lost and confused it's crazy. Maybe one day she will take time to actually read and learn about the Book of Mormon and what we believe in. I have also noticed how people say they believe in the bible but don't even read it. While knocking in this Mexican neighborhood this person said that he is Christian but doesn't believe or follow everything that his church says. People are so lost but that's why we are out here trying to bring them back to Christ. I have also been able to talk about grandpa and how he does so many hours of service each week in the temple. I have been so blessed to have amazing grandparents and family. I have noticed coming out here what a blessing it is to have a family that will help support you and encourage you to go to church. I have seen young kids who don't have the parental support, how hard it is for them to be an active member.
